This role involves working on a variety of vehicles and equipment, including trucks, lawn mowers, and other landscaping equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining both small engines and larger diesel or gas powered equipment. About us Tyler's Landscaping is a small local landscaping business that has been operating in Rockford since 1987. Our team takes the time to really understand our clients. We take pride in our ability to handle large-scale projects thanks to our team oriented workforce. We have established long-term partnerships with some of Rockford's premier businesses, ensuring that their outdoor spaces remain well-maintained and visually appealing year-round.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine check-ups, maintenance, and repairs on trucks, trailers, lawn mowers, and other landscaping equipment. Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and provide solutions. Keep up to date records of repairs and maintenance performed. Ensure all equipment is in safe, working condition. Respond to repair requests by lawn care staff. Order parts and manage inventory as needed.
Qualifications:
Experience as a mechanic, preferably with both small and large engines. Knowledge of gas and diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems. Ability to troubleshoot and repair lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, chainsaws, and similar equipment. Welding and fabrication experience is not required but is a plus. Basic computer skills Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Valid Drivers license
Benefits Package:
Paid Time Off Flexible Hours, we are expecting 25-40hrs/week based on need $22-26/hr based on experience
