Overview Join our dynamic team as a Mechanic specializing in semi-tractors and trailers! In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and related equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. We are seeking energetic professionals with a passion for heavy equipment and automotive systems who thrive in a fast-paced environment and take pride in delivering top-quality workmanship. Duties Perform comprehensive inspections and diagnostics on semi-tractors, trailers, and associated heavy equipment using schematics and automotive electrical system repair techniques Conduct repairs on transmissions, brakes (including air brake systems), suspensions, shocks & struts, hydraulics, and mechanical systems to ensure vehicle safety and compliance Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication skills to assemble, repair, or modify vehicle components as needed Maintain and service vehicle systems such as HVAC, electrical systems, tire service, wheel alignments, and vehicle maintenance routines Perform preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles, semi-tractors, trailers, and other equipment Experience Proven mechanic experience with a focus on heavy truck repair or industrial equipment maintenance Skilled in fabrication techniques including welding and soldering for custom repairs or modifications Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment Join us to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to excellence in vehicle maintenance! Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
