Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and experienced Concrete Pump Fleet/ Crane Mechanic to join our team. As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of vehicles and equipment. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe operation of our fleet. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on a variety of vehicles and equipment Conduct automotive diagnostics using specialized tools and equipment Repair and replace faulty components, such as brakes, transmissions, and engines Fabricate parts as needed for repairs Perform equipment repair and maintenance, including hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and fuel systems Conduct brake repairs and adjustments Inspect vehicles and equipment to identify potential issues or safety concerns Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed Knowledge Proven experience as a Fleet/Crane Mechanic or similar role. Proficiency in using power tools and diagnostic equipment. Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics and repair techniques. Familiarity with Caterpillar equipment is a plus. Experience working in a dealership or similar environment is preferred. Ability to fabricate parts as needed for repairs. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent customer service skills. Physical Demands This position requires the ability to perform physical activities such as climbing, kneeling, crawling, and working in confined or elevated spaces. The employee must be capable of handling tools and equipment and may need to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds. The role often involves standing or walking for extended periods during inspections and repairs. Visual acuity is necessary for detailed inspections, including the ability to distinguish small defects or irregularities. Working Conditions The Fleet Mechanic will work in a variety of environments including equipment yards, maintenance shops, construction sites, customer locations, and office settings. Fieldwork involves exposure to loud noise, dust, moving mechanical parts, and varying weather conditions. Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required at all times when on job sites, in shops, or in yards. When not in the field, administrative tasks and report writing are performed in an office environment using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers. Occasional work outside of standard business hours may be necessary to meet project or scheduling demands.
