Job Description
QUICK LANE TECHNICIAN
Full-Time | Hourly | Prince George, VA AML Ford of Prince George is hiring a Quick Lane Technician. This is a great place to start or restart an automotive career. You do not need years of dealership experience — you need to show up, work clean, and care about doing the job right. We will train you on the rest, pay for your Ford certifications, and give you a clear path to a flat rate bay. What We Offer- $18.00 to $22.00 per hour, based on experience — paid hourly, so you earn for every hour you are here
- Semi-monthly pay and direct deposit
- A real path forward: our Quick Lane technicians move into flat rate positions starting at $26.00 per flag hour as they certify
- Paid Ford training and certification — we invest in technicians who want to advance
- Steady, consistent volume — the Quick Lane keeps a full schedule, so you are not standing around waiting for work
- Medical, dental, and vision benefits, plus paid time off
- A clean, organized shop with a foreman on the floor to answer questions and keep the line moving What You Will Do
- Perform oil and filter changes, tire rotations, balances, and mounting
- Replace batteries, wipers, filters, belts, hoses, brakes, and other routine maintenance items
- Complete a digital multipoint inspection on every vehicle, with clear photo and video documentation so advisors can present accurate recommendations
- Perform tire repairs, alignments, and fluid services
- Keep accurate notes on every repair order so the customer record is complete
- Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow all shop safety procedures
- Work efficiently to keep the Quick Lane moving without cutting corners on quality What We Are Looking For
- A strong work ethic and dependable, on-time attendance — this matters more to us than your resume
- Some automotive experience preferred: dealership, independent shop, tire store, or quick lube
- Willingness to learn and to complete Ford training and certifications on our dime
- Your own basic hand tools; we provide the specialty equipment
- Valid driver's license and an insurable driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent; automotive coursework is a plus
