• 5:00 PM Bottoms Bridge Tire & Auto Care is looking for an experienced, organized, and accountable Automotive Service Writer / Service Advisor to join our growing team.

We are looking for someone who can manage a repair order from customer intake through vehicle delivery without needing constant direction. This role requires strong customer communication, attention to detail, good judgment, and the ability to keep multiple vehicles moving through the shop without creating unnecessary interruptions for technicians or management. We are actively improving and standardizing our shop processes, so this is a good opportunity for someone who enjoys structure, accountability, and helping build a better operation. What You'll Do Greet customers and accurately document vehicle concerns Create and maintain complete, accurate repair orders Review technician findings and digital vehicle inspections Build estimates using correct labor times, parts, and shop procedures Present recommended repairs clearly and professionally Obtain and accurately document customer authorization Provide realistic customer updates and completion expectations based on actual shop status Coordinate with technicians, parts vendors, and management to keep work moving Monitor open repair orders and proactively identify anything preventing completion Schedule appointments based on shop and technician capacity Maintain detailed notes so another employee can immediately understand the status of any vehicle Follow established pricing, discount, authorization, and communication procedures Help ensure completed work is properly documented, invoiced, and ready for customer delivery Follow up on declined work and future service opportunities when appropriate What We're Looking For Automotive service writing/advising experience strongly preferred Working knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance terminology Strong customer-service and communication skills Ability to manage multiple repair orders and priorities at the same time Excellent attention to detail Comfortable working with shop-management and digital inspection software Able to independently research available information before escalating questions Comfortable making decisions within clearly defined authority Able to give customers accurate information without overpromising Strong documentation habits Willingness to follow standardized processes and accept coaching and accountability Dependable, organized, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced repair environment Experience with Mitchell1 / Manager SE, Bolt On Technology, digital vehicle inspections, or similar automotive shop-management systems is preferred.
