The Maintenance Technician supports a highly automated manufacturing facility by performing industrial maintenance across the entire plant.
This role focuses on troubleshooting and repairing automated production lines, Fanuc robots, stamping presses, and paint booths, with an emphasis on mechanical and fluid power systems. The technician ensures that equipment operates safely, reliably, and efficiently to minimize downtime and support continuous production.
Responsibilities
+ Perform industrial maintenance across the entire facility to keep production equipment operating safely and efficiently.
+ Troubleshoot and repair automated production lines, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components. + Diagnose and resolve issues with Fanuc robots, including more than 80 robotic units used throughout the facility. + Inspect, maintain, and repair large metal stamping presses to support consistent, high-volume production. + Troubleshoot and maintain paint booths and paint lines to ensure proper operation and product quality. + Use meters and other diagnostic tools to test voltage and electrical signals, identify faults, and verify repairs. + Perform mechanical and fluid power troubleshooting on components such as chains, drives, motors, conveyors, and presses. + Inspect and service hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including pumps, cylinders, valves, hoses, and related components. + Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment to reduce unplanned downtime and extend asset life. + Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage accurately to support equipment history and planning. + Follow safety procedures and lockout/tagout practices when working on industrial equipment. + Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify recurring issues and recommend improvements. + Support second-shift operations by responding promptly to equipment breakdowns and maintenance requests.
Essential Skills
+ 3-5 years of mechanical maintenance experience or an Associate's Degree in a related field.
+ Hands-on industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment. + Strong mechanical skills, including experience working with chains, drives, motors, conveyors, and presses. + Proficiency in mechanical troubleshooting and repair of production equipment. + Experience with hydraulic systems, including troubleshooting and repair of pumps, cylinders, and valves. + Experience with pneumatic systems, including troubleshooting and repair of air-operated components. + Ability to troubleshoot automated lines and robotic equipment, including Fanuc robots. + Ability to read and use meters to test voltage and diagnose electrical issues on industrial equipment. + Knowledge of fluid power principles and their application in industrial machinery. + Ability to work independently on second shift and respond quickly to equipment issues. + Strong focus on safety and adherence to industrial safety practices and procedures.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Associate's Degree in industrial maintenance, mechanical technology, or a related field (in lieu of or in addition to experience).
+ Experience working in a highly automated manufacturing facility with large metal stamping presses and paint lines. + Familiarity with maintaining and troubleshooting paint booths and automated paint systems. + Comfort working in a heavy industrial environment with exposure to heat, dirt, and noise. + Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced production setting and manage multiple maintenance requests. + Effective communication skills to coordinate with production, engineering, and other maintenance team members. + Strong problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to diagnosing complex equipment issues.

Work Environment
This position is based in a manufacturing facility that produces steel wheels for the automotive industry.
The plant is highly automated and includes large metal stamping presses, automated lines, paint booths, and paint lines. The environment is heavy industrial, often hot and dirty, with exposure to noise, moving machinery, and production materials. The role operates on a traditional second shift from 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch. You will use industrial tools, meters, and diagnostic equipment while working on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and robotic systems in a fast-paced production setting.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $31.
00 - $33.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
