Job Overview Join our dynamic hospitality maintenance team and become a vital part of ensuring a seamless, comfortable, and welcoming environment for guests and staff alike. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for maintaining the facility's infrastructure, troubleshooting issues promptly, and performing preventative maintenance to uphold the highest standards of safety and functionality. Your expertise will help create an inviting atmosphere that enhances guest satisfaction and operational efficiency. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills in a fast-paced, service-oriented setting. Duties Conduct routine inspections of building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), and mechanical equipment to identify potential issues before they escalate. Perform repairs on electrical equipment using schematics, hand tools, and electrical testing devices such as ohmmeters to ensure systems operate safely and efficiently. Maintain HVAC systems by troubleshooting, repairing, or replacing components to ensure optimal climate control throughout the facility. Execute plumbing system maintenance and repairs, including fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and replacing fixtures to keep water systems running smoothly. Carry out carpentry tasks such as repairing doors, windows, furniture, or interior structures to maintain building integrity and aesthetics. Utilize welding skills when necessary for structural repairs or equipment fabrication projects. Apply painting techniques for both maintenance painting and residential painting projects to uphold the facility's appearance standards. Use programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and schematics to troubleshoot complex building automation systems effectively. Lead or assist with facilities equipment maintenance tasks while adhering to safety protocols and operational procedures. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from staff or guests and communicating clearly about repair timelines or issues. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience in facilities maintenance operations. Proficiency in electrical work including repair of electrical equipment and understanding of electrical schematics. Experience with HVAC system repair, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance procedures. Skilled in plumbing system maintenance and repair techniques using appropriate tools and safety practices. Ability to operate hand tools effectively as well as specialized equipment like welders or programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Familiarity with maintenance painting techniques suitable for both commercial facilities and residential settings. Knowledge of building interior maintenance standards including carpentry, drywall repair, flooring, and general facilities upkeep. Experience working with Maintenance, Repair & Operations (MRO) supplies to ensure smooth daily operations. Ability to read schematics accurately for troubleshooting complex mechanical or electrical systems. Strong communication skills in English for clear documentation and effective teamwork leadership when needed.
