GED Full Job Description Job Summary:

Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment throughout the facility, including production areas, offices, cafeterias, restrooms, warehouses, parking lots, and other common spaces. This role performs routine janitorial services, waste removal, floor care, sanitization, and general housekeeping activities to support employee safety, operational efficiency, and site appearance. The role is expected to follow all the client's safety, quality, and environmental procedures while ensuring cleanliness standards are consistently met.

Responsibilities:

Clean and sanitize offices, conference rooms, break rooms, cafeterias, restrooms, locker rooms, and common areas. Perform routine housekeeping activities in manufacturing, warehouse, and support areas in accordance with the client's procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), as applicable. Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and maintain floors, walls, windows, furniture, and other facility surfaces. Collect, empty, and properly dispose of trash, recycling, and non-hazardous waste in designated collection areas. Clean and maintain outdoor areas, including building entrances, sidewalks, walkways, and parking lots. Replenish restroom, cafeteria, and cleaning supplies to ensure adequate inventory levels are maintained. Operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, vacuums, buffers, and other custodial tools in a safe and effective manner. Follow established procedures for the safe handling, storage, and use of cleaning chemicals and materials. Support site housekeeping initiatives, audits, inspections, and continuous improvement activities. Identify and report facility maintenance issues, safety hazards, spills, damaged equipment, or other concerns to the appropriate personnel. Adhere to all the client's policies, safety requirements, quality standards, and environmental regulations. Maintain a professional and customer-focused attitude while interacting with employees, contractors, and visitors. Promote a positive work environment through respectful communication, professionalism, and adherence to the client's values and policies. Perform other duties as assigned to support facility operations.

Education and Experience:

Education:

High school diploma, GED required.

Experience:

Previous janitorial, custodial, housekeeping, or facilities cleaning experience preferred. Ability to communicate respectfully and maintain productive working relationships with associates at all levels of the organization.

Knowledge and Skills:

Ability to safely use cleaning chemicals, equipment, and supplies. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and comply with safety procedures. Basic communication and teamwork skills. Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a diverse environment

Physical Demands:

(if applicable): Manufacturing environment with exposure to production areas. Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, and lift up to 35 pounds on a regular basis. Ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks throughout the work shift. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying environmental conditions

Work Environment:

(if applicable): Manufacturing facility, warehouse, office, and outdoor environments. Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as applicable. Exposure to cleaning products, equipment, and routine industrial facility conditions.
