Job Description

About the Role Sobrius is looking for a dependable, hands-on Maintenance Technician to keep our facility, equipment, and systems running safely and efficiently. You'll handle preventive maintenance, troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues, and respond quickly when something breaks down. This role suits someone who takes pride in solving problems, works well independently, and puts safety first. Key Responsibilities Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on equipment, machinery, and building systems to reduce downtime and extend equipment life. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and plumbing problems. Inspect and maintain HVAC systems, lighting, doors, fixtures, and other building components. Respond promptly to work orders and emergency repair requests, prioritizing by urgency and safety. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, and technical drawings. Install new equipment and assist with facility upgrades or small renovation projects. Keep accurate records of completed work, parts used, and equipment history. Monitor inventory of tools, parts, and supplies, and request replacements as needed. Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), and comply with OSHA regulations. Keep work areas and tools clean, organized, and in good condition. Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors on specialized repairs when needed.
Qualifications Required:
High school diploma or GED. 2+ years of experience in maintenance, facilities, or a related trade. Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment such as multimeters. Solid troubleshooting skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage time across multiple tasks. Valid driver's license.
Preferred:
Technical or vocational training in industrial maintenance, HVAC, or electrical work. Certifications such as EPA 608, HVAC, or
OSHA 10/30.
Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, bend, kneel, and work in tight spaces for extended periods. Comfortable working at heights and in varying temperatures and conditions.
