Job description: Maintenance Technician Level 2 SkillsetGroup is seeking a Maintenance Technician Level 2 to work in the Tukwila, WA area. The Maintenance Technician will perform preventive, scheduled, emergency, and unscheduled maintenance on CNC machines and other production equipment. The ideal candidate will have 3-6 years of industrial maintenance experience with strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills. This is a Temp-to-Hire opportunity working Monday through Friday.

DOE Hours:

Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-2:00 PM Responsibilities Perform preventive, scheduled, emergency, and unscheduled maintenance on CNC machines and production equipment. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment problems. Troubleshoot CNC mills, lathes, machining centers, and related manufacturing equipment. Operate CNC equipment in manual mode when necessary for troubleshooting or maintenance. Inspect equipment and identify worn, damaged, or malfunctioning components. Replace filters, belts, hoses, fittings, and other machine components. Maintain appropriate oil, coolant, and lubrication levels. Install, repair, and troubleshoot compressed-air lines. Read and interpret equipment manuals, work orders, maintenance instructions, and basic mechanical and electrical drawings. Use hand tools, power tools, dial indicators, and other precision measuring instruments. Assist with moving, positioning, installing, and leveling manufacturing equipment. Operate forklifts and scissor lifts when trained and authorized. Navigate ERP/MRP systems, process maintenance work orders, and prepare parts or material requisitions. Document repairs, maintenance activities, equipment conditions, and parts usage. Properly handle and dispose of oils, coolants, chemicals, and other hazardous materials. Follow all PPE, lockout/tagout, machine-safety, and hazardous-material procedures. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area according to 6S standards. Communicate equipment conditions, repair status, and parts requirements to supervisors and production personnel. Requirements Three to six years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience. Strong mechanical and industrial-equipment troubleshooting background. Hands-on hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting experience. Industrial electrical troubleshooting knowledge. Experience maintaining or repairing CNC or other automated production equipment. Ability to read equipment manuals, work orders, and basic mechanical and electrical drawings. Experience using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments. Knowledge of preventive-maintenance practices and lockout/tagout procedures. Basic computer proficiency and experience navigating ERP, MRP, CMMS, or work-order systems. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to respond effectively to emergency breakdowns and changing production priorities. Ability to qualify as a U.S. Person and provide acceptable documentation due to ITAR-controlled work. Preferred Qualifications Completion of a recognized industrial-maintenance or craft apprenticeship. Experience maintaining Okuma or Mori Seiki CNC equipment. PLC troubleshooting experience. HVAC maintenance or troubleshooting experience. Forklift and scissor-lift experience. Experience moving, installing, and leveling industrial machinery.
