Job Description
- Job Title: Maintenance Technician
- •Job Description•The Maintenance Technician maintains and repairs hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic components of production equipment and machinery.
This role installs and repairs electrical components on industrial equipment, performs all preventive maintenance functions, and ensures the proper upkeep of buildings and grounds. The technician reads and interprets equipment schematics to troubleshoot issues efficiently and supports continuous, reliable operation of high-speed production lines.
- Responsibilities
- + Inspect, maintain, and repair hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic components on production equipment and machinery.
+ Install, repair, and modify electrical components and wiring on industrial equipment and machines.
+ Read and interpret electrical and equipment schematics to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues.
+ Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on machinery, production lines, and facility systems to minimize downtime.
+ Maintain buildings and grounds to ensure a safe, clean, and functional work environment.
+ Troubleshoot PLCs and automated equipment to identify root causes of faults and restore proper operation.
+ Work on roasters, conveyors, sensors, palletizers/depalletizers, actuators, pneumatics, and PLCs as part of ongoing maintenance and repair activities.
+ Support the operation of high-speed packaging equipment and conveyor systems by resolving mechanical and electrical problems promptly.
+ Respond to equipment breakdowns, perform corrective repairs, and document work performed.
+ Collaborate with production personnel to understand equipment performance issues and prioritize maintenance tasks.
+ Follow safety procedures when working near moving mechanical parts, at heights, and around electrical systems.
+ Adapt to different shift structures and work mandatory or voluntary overtime as needed to meet production requirements.
- Essential Skills
- + Minimum of 3 years of experience troubleshooting machines in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
+ Proven ability to read, understand, and apply electrical and equipment schematics for troubleshooting.
+ Hands-on experience troubleshooting PLCs and automated equipment.
+ Strong electrical maintenance and repair skills in an industrial setting.
+ Experience working with conveyors and high-speed packaging equipment.
+ Knowledge of hydraulic systems and components used in production machinery.
+ Knowledge of pneumatic systems, actuators, and related components.
+ Ability to work safely around moving mechanical parts and electrical systems.
+ Solid problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues efficiently.
- Additional Skills & Qualifications
- + Experience working with roasters, sensors, palletizers/depalletizers, and actuators.
+ Familiarity with vibration, fumes, and airborne particles common in industrial environments.
+ Comfort working in varying temperatures and both indoor and outdoor conditions.
+ Ability to handle physically demanding tasks, including working in high or precarious places.
+ Willingness to work overtime and adjust to different shift structures to support production needs.

- Work Environment
- This role is based in a factory setting where you frequently work near moving mechanical parts and around energized electrical systems, with regular exposure to the risk of electrical shock.
You may occasionally work in high or precarious places, as well as in both inside and outside weather conditions. The environment can include wet or humid areas, fumes or airborne particles, and vibration from operating machinery. Factory temperatures vary seasonally, ranging from about 70 degrees Fahrenheit in the winter to approximately 110 degrees Fahrenheit in the summer, and work can involve contact with grease and oil. You work directly on roasters, conveyors, sensors, palletizers/depalletizers, actuators, pneumatics, and PLCs. Employees may be expected to work mandatory or voluntary overtime and adapt to different shift structures as required to meet production demands.

- Pay and Benefits
- The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $87360.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
