Responsibilities Install, test, and troubleshoot telecommunications systems including fiber optic cables, structured cabling. Use diagnostic tools such as telecommunications testing equipment to identify and resolve issues efficiently. Work with meter and handheld(phone). Configure and troubleshoot networking equipment . Perform equipment repairs, cable termination , and structured cabling installation in various environments. Collaborate with clients to provide exceptional customer service by explaining technical issues clearly and ensuring satisfaction during all phases of installation or repair. Maintain safety standards by properly using hand tools, power tools, and adhering to NEC (National Electrical Code) guidelines for electrical work.

Header:

Experience Proven experience as a service technician or installer in telecommunications or IT infrastructure environments. Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts including LAN (Local Area Network), WAN (Wide Area Network), Ethernet protocols, and TCP/IP configurations. Hands-on experience with coax structures, fiber splicing installation, and troubleshooting networks. Familiarity with telecommunication systems and structured cabling installation practices. Ability to operate diagnostic tools like Xm meters, Mobile(tech360), and telecommunication testing equipment confidently. Experience working with low-voltage electrical wiring, power tools, hand tools, and electrical safety standards regulations. Service technician background with a focus on customer service excellence in field service settings is highly preferred.
