Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic Fleet Technician to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a diverse fleet of heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and industrial equipment. Your expertise will ensure our fleet operates safely, efficiently, and reliably, supporting our company's operational goals. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, air brakes, suspension components, and electrical systems using schematics and technical manuals. Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, alignment checks, and equipment inspections to prevent breakdowns. Fabricate and modify parts or components as needed for specialized equipment or repairs using welding and hand tools. Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery safely and efficiently during maintenance procedures. Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues on heavy trucks, tractor-trailers, industrial equipment, and other vehicle systems to ensure optimal performance. Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports of all repairs performed; adhere to safety protocols at all times. Assist in the assembly or disassembly of machinery for repair or replacement purposes while demonstrating mechanical knowledge and attention to detail. Qualifications Proven experience working as a diesel mechanic or heavy equipment technician with dealership experience preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, HVAC systems, suspension components, and electrical systems. Skilled in automotive diagnostics using schematics and electronic testing tools; capable of troubleshooting complex vehicle systems. Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques such as welding; proficient with power tools and hand tools required for equipment repair. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely; comfortable working with tire service equipment and performing wheel alignments. Knowledge of heavy truck repair standards including air brake systems and vehicle safety inspections. Pay:
