Job Description
A reputable commercial truck repair and mobile service operation is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician in Wilmer, TX to diagnose and repair customers' truck and trailer fleets. Ideal candidates are experienced diagnostic technicians with strong diesel, electrical, and heavy-duty truck repair skills. Duties & Responsibilities Respond to mobile service calls, diagnose breakdowns, and complete safe, efficient repairs. Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, fuel, cooling, electrical, starting, charging, and vehicle control systems. Repair air brakes, suspension, steering, wheel-end, driveline, and related truck and trailer systems. Perform preventive maintenance, brake and tire service, lubrication, inspections, and identify additional repair needs. Document repairs and diagnostic findings, communicate service updates, and maintain the assigned service vehicle, tools, equipment, and inventory.
Requirements Required:
Hands-on experience repairing commercial diesel trucks, trailers, or heavy-duty equipment this is not an entry-level role. Strong diesel, electrical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills. Experience with air brakes, suspension, steering, wheel-end, and driveline systems. Ability to independently diagnose problems, make sound repair decisions, and complete mobile repairs with minimal supervision. Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills with a focus on safety and repair quality. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record and required basic hand tools.Preferred:
Mobile diesel, heavy-duty truck, or commercial truck and trailer repair experience. Diesel diagnostic software, electronic troubleshooting, DOT inspection experience, or ASE certifications. CDL, welding or fabrication experience, or bilingual English/Spanish skills. #PJ1Compensation:
