Electrical maintenance Hand tools Full Job Description Part-Time | Potential to Grow Into Full-Time We are looking for a dependable Diesel Technician / Mechanic to help maintain and repair our company-owned truck fleet. This is a part-time position to start, with the possibility of becoming full-time as the position and company needs grow . This could be a great fit for an experienced diesel mechanic looking for additional hours, someone working toward becoming a full-time technician, or someone who prefers a smaller company environment. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance on company trucks Oil changes, filters, fluids, lubrication, and preventative maintenance Diagnose mechanical issues and recommend repairs Brake, suspension, steering, electrical, and general mechanical repairs Identify problems before they lead to breakdowns or major repairs Assist with DOT-related maintenance and keeping trucks road-ready Maintain basic records of maintenance and repairs performed Help keep equipment reliable, safe, and ready for work Qualifications Diesel or heavy-duty truck repair experience preferred Knowledge of diesel engines and truck systems Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical problems Must have your own basic hand tools Valid driver's license CDL is a plus, but not required Must be dependable and able to work independently Welding/fabrication experience is a plus Schedule This position will start part-time , with scheduling based around fleet maintenance needs. We are willing to discuss scheduling and availability with the right person. There is potential for this position to grow into a full-time role depending on performance, workload, and company growth.
Compensation Pay:
DOE (Depending on Experience) Compensation will be discussed based on experience, skill level, and ability to independently diagnose and repair equipment. About the Position We're not looking for someone to just change oil. We're looking for someone who can help us stay ahead of repairs, reduce downtime, and take pride in keeping our trucks maintained and on the road.
