Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel-powered equipment, including construction machinery, farm machinery, industrial equipment, and vehicle fleets. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance, safety, and longevity of our equipment fleet. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, air brakes, and suspension components using OEM schematics and advanced diagnostic tools. Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, tire service, brake repairs, and alignment adjustments to keep equipment operating at peak efficiency. Troubleshoot and repair construction machinery, excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, trailer trucks, and other heavy equipment with precision. Fabricate custom parts or modifications using welding and hand tools to address unique repair needs or improve equipment performance. Maintain detailed service records, inspection reports, and maintenance logs to ensure compliance with safety standards and OEM specifications. Assist in heavy lifting operations and perform electrical diagnostics or soldering when necessary to resolve complex electrical system issues. Support the safe operation of heavy equipment during repairs or testing phases while adhering to all safety protocols. Skills Proven dealership experience or extensive background in heavy equipment servicing with a focus on diesel engine diagnostics and repair. Strong mechanical knowledge across construction machinery maintenance, farm machinery, industrial equipment, and vehicle systems. Proficiency in reading schematics and technical manuals related to OEM standards for various brands including Caterpillar and other major manufacturers. Skilled in fabrication techniques such as welding and metalworking; capable of using power tools effectively. Experience with electrical diagnostics, HVAC systems on heavy machinery, hydraulic troubleshooting, and suspension repairs. Ability to perform precise alignment work and tire service on large vehicles or equipment. Excellent customer service skills combined with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to team members or clients.
