Job Description
Water Mitigation Technician / Restoration Helper Damage Control is Hiring! We are looking for a dependable, hardworking Water Mitigation Technician / Restoration Helper to join our Emergency Services team. This is a hands-on, labor-intensive position assisting our technicians with water damage cleanup, demolition, drying, and restoration work. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys physical work, working with their hands, and being part of a team. Previous restoration experience is helpful but not required — we are willing to train the right person. Job Responsibilities Assist with water extraction and water damage cleanup Perform demolition, including removal of drywall, flooring, cabinets, baseboards, insulation, and other damaged materials Move furniture, contents, equipment, and building materials Set up and remove drying equipment such as air movers and dehumidifiers Assist technicians with job-site setup and cleanup Load and unload company vehicles and equipment Maintain clean and organized work areas Properly use hand tools, power tools, and personal protective equipment (PPE) Follow company safety procedures and supervisor instructions Assist with emergency water-loss and restoration projects as needed What We're Looking For Dependable with a strong work ethic Comfortable performing physical labor throughout the workday Ability to lift and carry approximately 50-75 lbs. Comfortable working in demolition and construction environments Willing to work in hot, dirty, wet, or confined work areas when necessary Able to work well as part of a team Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record preferred Must be able to pass company hiring requirements Restoration, construction, demolition, or general labor experience is a plus but not required Schedule This position supports our Emergency Services Division. Regular daytime hours are expected; however, because property damage does not always happen during business hours, some after-hours, weekend, and emergency-response availability may be required.
