Full Job Description About the role As a Water Mitigation Technician at Total Restoration, you'll take a leadership role in the field, guiding technicians and ensuring water, fire, mold, and contents projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to our quality standards. Technicians are expected to take ownership of their job sites, communicate effectively with customers and Project Managers, and set the standard for professionalism, workmanship, and teamwork in the field.
Responsibilities Include:
– Lead and direct crews on job sites – Perform water extraction and structural drying – Perform sewage and contaminated water cleanup – Identify affected materials and assist with determining appropriate mitigation procedures – Perform and oversee clean and safe demolition of drywall, flooring, insulation, cabinetry, and other affected materials – Properly set up, monitor, document, and remove drying equipment – Perform and oversee fire, smoke, and soot cleanup – Perform mold remediation, containment, HEPA vacuuming, and detailed structural cleaning – Lead contents packing, moving, inventory, and packout activities – Ensure proper containment, PPE, safety procedures, and job-site protection are maintained – Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites throughout each project – Communicate job progress, challenges, and additional needs to the Project Manager – Provide professional communication and exceptional service to homeowners and customers – Ensure company vehicles, tools, and equipment are properly maintained and accounted for – Complete required job documentation accurately and on time – Take ownership of assigned projects and help ensure work is completed correctly and efficiently Skills & requirements familiarity with building materials and demolition work Reliable and dedicated to providing exceptional customer service Willing to work in confined or challenging environments Available for rotating on-call emergency shifts Work great as part of a team and utilize strong communication Strong documentation habits IICRC certification(s) preferred Knowledge in the use of common hand tools, power tools and saws Self-starter with a strong sense of initiative Strong sense of ownership and accountability Committed to contributing to an exceptional company culture Comfortable lifting 50+ lbs routinely, perform manual labor and work from ladders or within tight areas. Pay:
$24.00 – $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
