We work with both independent operators and national brands across Michigan and the surrounding region and have built a reputation for dependable service and craftsmanship. About the Role Northern Pizza Equipment is looking for a hands-on, motivated Technician who takes pride in turning well-used commercial kitchen equipment into dependable, high-quality equipment that is ready for the next job. In this role, you will be part of a skilled production team that restores and rebuilds foodservice equipment used by restaurants and commercial kitchens across Michigan and beyond. You will work through each stage of the remanufacturing process, from disassembly and cleaning to refinishing, reassembly, and final inspection. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands, solving problems, learning new skills, and seeing the results of their work every day. Experience is welcome, but a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to learn are just as important. We provide training, mentorship, and the support you need to grow in the role. What You'll Do Disassemble commercial foodservice equipment and accurately inventory parts and components. Clean equipment frames, assemblies, and individual parts using appropriate mechanical and chemical cleaning processes. Inspect cleaned components for wear, damage, or defects, and identify parts that need repair or replacement. Prepare, refinish, and restore surfaces through painting, polishing, and related finishing work. Reassemble equipment to company standards and complete basic operational testing. Document work time, materials used, and project progress accurately and consistently. Safely load, unload, and move equipment as needed. Support delivery and installation of remanufactured equipment at customer locations. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following company procedures and safety guidelines. What You Bring High school diploma or GED. Must be able to lift up to 85 pounds unassisted. Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort working with a variety of hand and power tools. Willingness to work overtime as needed, including occasional overnight travel. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Reliability and the ability to follow tasks through to completion. Commitment to quality craftsmanship. Work effectively in a team environment. Adaptable and able to manage changing priorities. What We Offer Competitive hourly wage based on experience.
