Position Summary Southeastern Transformer Company is seeking a dependable and hardworking Utility Person to join our team in Dunn, NC. The Utility Person plays an important role in keeping our facility organized and our production process moving. This position involves unloading, moving, sorting, inspecting, and staging transformers and other electrical equipment throughout the facility. This is a hands-on position that requires working both indoors and outdoors in an industrial environment. Key Responsibilities Unload transformers and other electrical equipment from company trucks and trailers. Verify incoming equipment and help ensure units are properly identified. Sort and organize incoming transformers and equipment. Move equipment to the appropriate shop, staging area, storage area, or other designated location. Assist with the initial inspection and triage of incoming equipment. Identify and separate repair units, scrap units, and good-stock equipment according to company procedures. Assist with basic transformer testing and inspection procedures as trained. Stage transformers and equipment for production, repair, testing, or shipment. Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment as authorized and trained. Load and unload materials, supplies, and equipment as needed. Keep the yard, staging areas, and work areas organized and free of unnecessary hazards. Assist other departments with moving equipment and materials. Follow company safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Report damaged equipment, unsafe conditions, or other concerns to a supervisor. Complete required paperwork and equipment identification accurately. Perform general cleanup and other utility duties as needed. Perform additional duties as assigned by management. Qualifications Previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, industrial, construction, utility, or similar environment is preferred but not required. Forklift experience is preferred. Ability to work safely around heavy equipment and machinery. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Strong attention to detail. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Willingness to learn transformer identification, inspection, and basic testing procedures. Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor conditions. Ability to perform physical work throughout the workday. Physical Requirements This is an active, hands-on position.

Employees must be able to:

Stand and walk for extended periods. Bend, stoop, reach, push, and pull as required. Perform physical tasks associated with an industrial work environment. Work around heavy electrical equipment, forklifts, trucks, and machinery. Work outdoors in varying weather conditions when required.
