This role is responsible for helping keep our facility, property, equipment, and grounds clean, safe, functional, and professional. We are looking for someone who notices problems before they become bigger issues and is comfortable handling a variety of maintenance and upkeep tasks throughout the day. Florida Utility Trailers is a family-owned and operated semi-trailer dealership serving the transportation industry since 1977. Responsibilities Perform general building and facility maintenance Maintain exterior grounds, parking areas, shop areas, and property appearance Handle minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and repair projects Replace lights, fixtures, filters, hardware, and other facility items as needed Perform basic preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment Assist with pressure washing and exterior cleaning Maintain landscaping and coordinate basic lawn and grounds upkeep as needed Pick up trash and debris around the property Keep storage, maintenance, and common areas organized Assist with moving furniture, equipment, supplies, and materials Identify safety hazards, facility damage, or maintenance needs and report them promptly Coordinate with outside vendors or contractors when repairs require specialized service Assist with miscellaneous projects throughout the dealership as needed Follow company safety policies and maintain a clean work environment Qualifications Previous building maintenance, facilities maintenance, construction, handyman, or related experience preferred General mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot basic maintenance issues Experience with basic hand and power tools Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repairs preferred Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks Strong attention to detail Dependable attendance and good work ethic Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Ability to safely lift, carry, climb ladders, bend, kneel, and work indoors and outdoors Ability to work in Florida heat and changing weather conditions when performing outdoor tasks What We're Looking For This position is a good fit for someone who is hands-on, dependable, and takes ownership of the condition of the property . We want someone who doesn't need to be told every time something needs attention. The right person will notice a broken fixture, damaged area, maintenance issue, or messy space and take the initiative to address it or bring it to the appropriate person's attention.
