Full Job Description Ohio Star Forge is seeking an experienced and dependable Midnight Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance activities on our midnight shift. This position is responsible for supervising the maintenance crew, prioritizing equipment repairs, minimizing production downtime, and ensuring maintenance work is completed safely, efficiently, and to established standards. The Midnight Maintenance Supervisor serves as the primary maintenance point of contact during the assigned shift and will provide hands-on technical leadership, including electrical and automation support. Key Responsibilities Lead and coordinate daily job assignments for the midnight shift maintenance crew, ensuring work is completed professionally, safely, and in a timely manner. Serve as the primary Maintenance Department contact for the assigned shift and coordinate maintenance priorities with Production and other departments. Prioritize repairs and maintenance activities when multiple equipment issues are present to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency. Provide hands-on electrical, automation, and troubleshooting support to identify and resolve equipment issues. Provide training, technical guidance, and documentation to operators and maintenance mechanics as needed. Identify required spare parts, initiate orders, and expedite critical components when necessary to support equipment availability. Participate in and lead special maintenance projects as assigned. Perform daily inspections of machine components to verify condition, reliability, and quality standards. Review, disposition, schedule, assign, and validate completed work orders to ensure work has been properly performed and documented. Monitor maintenance activities throughout the shift and communicate equipment concerns, outstanding repairs, and necessary follow-up to appropriate leadership. Previous supervisory, lead, or demonstrated maintenance leadership experience preferred. Strong mechanical troubleshooting abilities with working knowledge of industrial electrical and automation systems. Ability to effectively prioritize multiple equipment issues in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to coordinate work assignments and hold team members accountable for timely and proper completion. Experience working with preventive maintenance programs and maintenance work-order systems preferred. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions during off-shift operations.
