This role assists with preparing materials, operating woodworking equipment, assembling cabinet components, maintaining quality standards, and keeping the workshop safe and organized. Common Job Roles Cabinet Workshop Technician Cabinet Fabrication Technician Cabinet Shop Technician Woodworking Technician Cabinet Production Associate Key Responsibilities Prepare wood, panels, hardware, and other materials for cabinet production. Measure, mark, cut, drill, shape, and assemble cabinet components Operate woodworking hand and power tools safely and efficiently. Assist with building cabinet boxes, doors, drawers, frames, and panels. Sand, finish, and prepare cabinet components for installation. Read and follow drawings, measurements, work orders, and project specifications. Inspect components and completed cabinets for fit, accuracy, and quality. Maintain organized tools, equipment, materials, and workshop areas. Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of workshop equipment. Identify production issues and report material or equipment concerns to supervisors. Follow workplace safety procedures and company quality standards. Assist with loading, staging, and preparing finished cabinetry for delivery or installation. Requirements Previous woodworking, cabinetmaking, carpentry, manufacturing, or workshop experience is an asset. Basic knowledge of hand and power tools Ability to accurately read measurements and follow instructions Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship Ability to work independently and as part of a team Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused Ability to lift, carry, and move materials safely Preferred Skills Experience with cabinet fabrication or custom woodworking Knowledge of woodworking materials, hardware, and finishing techniques Familiarity with saws, drills, routers, sanders, and related equipment Strong measuring, cutting, and assembly skills Good problem-solving and quality-control abilities Ability to maintain an organized and productive workshop About the Company Sprig and Spire provides woodworking and cabinetry solutions focused on craftsmanship, functional design, and quality project execution.
