Job Description

Sterile Processing Tech (SPT) - Contract Assignment Olympia, Washington 98506 13-Week Contract | Extension Possible Night 5x8-Hour (21:00 - 04:30) Locals accepted: No. •Please note: Local travelers with permanent residence within 50 miles of the facility will not be eligible for a travel contract•Compensation Traveler Candidates (W2)
Blended Rate:
$34.00/hour
Weekly Gross:
$600
Taxable Rate:
$15.00/hour
Weekly Stipend:
$760(non-taxable) Traveler Candidates (1099) $35.50/hour
Weekly Pay:
$1,420 Requirements Minimum 1 year of Sterile Processing experience required Acute Care Hospital OR experience preferred Strong knowledge of sterilization and infection control practices
Certfications:
CBSPD, IAHCSMM/HSPA
Responsibilities Decontamination & Disinfection Perform cleaning and decontamination of surgical instruments and medical equipment Operate washers, sterilizers, and high-level disinfection (HLD) equipment Clean crash carts, IV pumps, PCA pumps, and related equipment Sterilization & Processing Assemble surgical instrument sets and trays Perform sterilization wrapping procedures using appropriate materials Monitor biological and chemical indicators for sterilization processes Conduct steam sterilization testing and immediate-use steam sterilization (IUSS) Specialty Equipment Processing Process instruments and equipment for: ENT General Surgery OB/GYN Orthopedics Plastics Urology HC01

$1,360.00 - $1,420.00 per week
