Position Summary We are seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Operator who is more than just a machine operator. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, be comfortable working with precision measuring instruments, and possess the ability to troubleshoot and optimize machining processes. This role offers the opportunity to work in a clean, air-conditioned machine shop with excellent benefits and long-term career advancement potential. Candidates with CNC setup, machinist, and programming experience will be considered for the higher end of the pay range. Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC lathes to produce precision machined components Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions Perform machine offsets, tooling changes, and troubleshooting as needed Utilize precision measuring instruments to verify product quality and maintain tight tolerances Inspect finished parts to ensure compliance with specifications Identify and resolve machining issues to minimize downtime and scrap Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work area Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals Perform routine machine maintenance and monitor machine performance Qualifications Previous CNC Lathe operating experience required CNC setup and/or machinist experience strongly preferred Experience with G-Code and M-Code programming is highly desired Ability to troubleshoot machining and tooling issues Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Proficiency using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools Ability to read blueprints and understand technical specifications Commitment to quality, accuracy, and safety Ability to work independently and as part of a team Compensation Pay ranges from $25.00 to $40.00 per hour based on experience, skills, and qualifications. Candidates with CNC programming, setup, troubleshooting, and machinist experience will be eligible for consideration at the higher end of the pay range.
