5-Axis CNC Mill Setup/Operator Stretch Forming Corporation, an aerospace manufacturing company located in Perris, CA, is seeking an experienced 5-Axis CNC Mill Setup/Operator . This position requires hands-on experience independently setting up and operating large-format 5-axis CNC milling machines. This is not an entry-level CNC operator position.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of CNC machining experience , including experience with: 5-axis CNC machining and large-format milling machines FANUC 31i CNC controls Doosan CNC machining centers Complete machine setups, including tooling, workholding, fixtures, work offsets, and tool offsets Reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings and blueprints Understanding and applying GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) Precision inspection and measurement equipment, including calipers, micrometers, indicators, height gauges, and other applicable measuring tools
Responsibilities:
The 5-Axis CNC Mill Setup/Operator will work directly with the NC Programming Department to review and execute part setup instructions and machining requirements.
Responsibilities include:
Review blueprints, setup sheets, NC program documentation, and work instructions prior to machining. Perform complete machine setups for 5-axis milling operations. Build, assemble, and/or prepare required tooling and tool holders to the dimensions specified in setup documentation. Install and properly locate fixtures and workpieces according to setup instructions. Establish and verify work zero locations, coordinate systems, work offsets, and tool offsets. Load and verify tooling and confirm proper tool lengths and offsets. Perform first-piece machining and verify dimensions against blueprint and GD&T requirements. Make necessary offset adjustments to maintain dimensional requirements and tolerances. Safely run parts through completion while monitoring machine operation, tooling, and part quality. Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment. Identify and communicate machining, tooling, setup, or program issues to NC Programming and/or supervision. Maintain accurate production and inspection documentation. Follow all company safety, quality, and aerospace manufacturing requirements.
Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate is a hands-on CNC machinist who can independently take a 5-axis job from setup documentation through completed part . Candidates should be comfortable troubleshooting setup and machining issues and working closely with NC programmers to successfully produce complex aerospace components.

$22.00 - $33.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 65.0 per week
