Press Operator to join our manufacturing team.
This role involves operating and programming various CNC machines, including milling machines, lathes, stamping presses, and press brake equipment, to produce high-precision components in accordance with technical specifications. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, experience interpreting blueprints and technical drawings, and a thorough understanding of manufacturing processes. Responsibilities Operate CNC machining equipment such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and stamping presses to produce parts according to detailed blueprints and specifications. Program CNC machines using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and interpret G-code commands for precise machining operations. Set up and calibrate machinery including press brakes, stamping presses, and other industrial equipment to ensure optimal performance. Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and production documents accurately. Perform dimensional measurements using precision instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges; ensure parts meet GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards. Troubleshoot machine issues promptly to minimize downtime; perform basic maintenance and safety checks regularly. Handle materials safely using appropriate materials handling techniques; operate forklifts when necessary. Maintain accurate records of production runs, machine settings, and quality control data. Support quality assurance by inspecting finished components for adherence to specifications and tolerances. Collaborate with team members on fabrication tasks, assembly processes, and packaging of finished products. Qualifications Proven experience operating CNC machinery including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, and press brakes within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in CNC programming using CAM software; familiarity with Fanuc controls is highly desirable. Strong understanding of blueprint reading, mechanical drawing interpretation, and shop math. Knowledge of industrial equipment troubleshooting and maintenance procedures. Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately and utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers. Experience working with CAD software like SolidWorks is advantageous. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), factory safety standards, and manufacturing best practices. Mechanical aptitude with hands-on skills in fabrication, assembly, materials handling, and the use of hand tools. Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality control and dimensional accuracy. Prior factory or manufacturing facility experience preferred; warehouse experience is a plus. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety standards.
