CNC Operator MagTech Warren, MI Job Details Full-time $18 - $20 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Tooling Manufacturing facility experience Attention to detail Mechanical knowledge Load & unload Full Job Description We are seeking an experienced CNC Machine Operator to join a growing manufacturing operation supporting the automotive, aerospace, and defense industries . This position is ideal for a dependable, quality-focused machinist who is comfortable working in a low-volume, high-mix manufacturing environment and producing precision components to engineering specifications. The CNC Machine Operator will be responsible for operating CNC equipment, performing basic machine setups and adjustments, monitoring machining processes, and inspecting completed parts to ensure quality requirements are met. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC machining equipment to produce precision components. Load and unload raw materials, workpieces, fixtures, and finished parts. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work instructions, and job travelers . Perform basic machine setups, tool changes, offsets, and adjustments as required. Monitor machining operations and make appropriate adjustments to maintain part quality. Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment to inspect finished parts. Verify dimensions and tolerances according to prints and specifications. Identify tooling, machine, or quality issues and communicate concerns to the appropriate team members. Maintain accurate production and inspection documentation. Perform routine machine and work-area maintenance. Work closely with CNC Programmers, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Production personnel. Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area. Support production schedules while maintaining established quality standards. Qualifications Previous experience operating CNC machining equipment in a manufacturing environment. Experience performing basic CNC setups, offsets, and tool changes preferred. Ability to read and understand blueprints and engineering drawings . Working knowledge of machining principles, tooling, speeds, feeds, and dimensional tolerances. Experience using calipers, micrometers, and other precision inspection equipment . Ability to troubleshoot basic machining and tooling issues. Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a manufacturing team. Dependable attendance and a strong commitment to workplace safety and quality
