Pay:

$38.00-$40.00/hour, based on experience Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Applications Lead to serve as a hands-on technical resource for CNC machinists and operators in a precision machining environment. This is not a traditional production machinist role. The Applications Lead will focus on machine setups, troubleshooting, tooling, programming adjustments, cycle-time reduction, training, and continuous process improvement . The ideal candidate will have strong CNC machining experience and the ability to troubleshoot issues directly at the machine while helping improve overall productivity and process integrity. Experience with Citizen and Miyano CNC equipment is highly preferred. Key Responsibilities Support CNC machine setups, tooling, and troubleshooting Assist machinists and operators with technical and production issues Conduct tooling studies and identify opportunities to reduce cycle times Make programming and process adjustments as needed Support new-part planning, setups, and launches Work with the Process Engineer on tooling organization, spare parts, and process improvements Train, mentor, and provide technical guidance to CNC operators and machinists Monitor machining processes to improve quality, efficiency, and repeatability Assist with machine coverage and operator relief when needed Support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the machining department Qualifications Strong CNC machining and setup experience Experience with Citizen and/or Miyano CNC machines preferred Strong knowledge of tooling, offsets, and machining processes Programming or program-editing experience Ability to troubleshoot machining, tooling, and quality issues Experience with cycle-time reduction and process improvement Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation Previous experience training or mentoring CNC machinists/operators preferred New-part launch and process development experience is a plus Relevant Backgrounds CNC Swiss Programmer, CNC Swiss Setup Technician, CNC Lead Machinist, CNC Programmer/Machinist, CNC Cell Lead, CNC Manufacturing Lead, CNC Trainer, Swiss Machining Supervisor, Applications Engineer, or CNC Production Lead.
