CNC Machine Operator - Swing Shift
Job Description
We are currently hiring for a CNC machine operator who is responsible for the machining of parts to specification from engineering drawings by operating conventional and CNC machines including lathes, milling machines, and other general machine shop equipment. Minimum of 1 - 2 years experience. Essential functions, duties, and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Operates manual and CNC machine tools such as lathes, milling centers and other machine shop equipment. Verifies conformance of finished work piece to specifications using precision measuring instruments and documents results. Performs own inspections and can use a wide variety of inspection equipment including micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators as well as performing surface plate inspections. Applies knowledge of machine shop theory, shop mathematics and machinability of materials. Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations, and setup requirements. Meets production and quality goals. May perform secondary operations such as deburring. Maintains work area(s) in a neat and orderly fashion.
