CNC Machine Operator Job Description The CNC Operator is a valued contributor responsible for producing machined parts by setting up and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine and manual machines. The role entails maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping records, and maintaining equipment and supplies. Responsibilities Operate CNC machines and related production equipment to manufacture metal components. Perform basic machine setups, tool changes, and adjustments as needed. Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and drawings. Measure and inspect parts using calipers, tape measures, and other precision measuring tools. Work with various metals including steel, stainless steel, copper, and aluminum. Operate equipment such as CNC mills, drill presses, punch presses, and other fabrication machinery. Monitor machine performance and identify quality issues. Maintain accurate production records and inspection documentation. Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area. Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet daily production goals. Essential Skills 1-2 years of Mill Operation experience. Ability to pass tape measure test. Experience with measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous CNC machine operation experience. Precision measuring tools and hand tool experience. Why Work Here?
