Job Description

Overview We are seeking an experienced CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce precision metal components. This role is essential in ensuring high-quality production standards, efficient workflow, and adherence to safety protocols. The ideal applicant will possess strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency in CNC machining techniques, and a keen eye for detail to support our commitment to manufacturing excellence. Responsibilities Set up CNC machines including lathes and milling machines, ensuring proper tooling and fixtures are installed according to specifications. Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings accurately, applying GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) standards. Operate CNC machinery with precision, monitoring machining processes to maintain tight tolerances using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and dial indicators. Perform routine machine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance. Conduct quality inspections during and after production runs using precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and surface finishes meet specifications. Adjust machine settings as needed based on measurement feedback and process requirements. Maintain detailed records of machining parameters, inspection results, and production logs for traceability. Collaborate with engineering teams on tooling setups, modifications, and process improvements. Follow safety protocols diligently while handling manual machining tools, grinders, power tools, and assembly equipment. Qualifications Proven experience operating CNC machines such as lathes and milling centers. Strong understanding of machining tools, tooling selection, fixture setup, and manual machining techniques. Ability to read mechanical blueprints accurately and interpret GD&T specifications. Mechanical knowledge including understanding of machine setup procedures for CNC lathe and milling machines. Familiarity with CNC control systems such as Fanuc or equivalent controllers. Skilled in measurement techniques using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators, and other precision instruments. Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, feeds, speeds, and tolerances. Experience with manufacturing processes involving metal machining and quality control standards. Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Pay:
