In this CNC Swiss Turning Machinist / Setup Operator opportunity, you'll set up, operate, and troubleshoot Swiss-type CNC turning machines while producing small, accurate components for multiple industries. Qualifications and responsibilities for this CNC Swiss Turning Machinist / Setup Operator position include: 5+ years of hands-on CNC turning experience, including independently setting up and operating Swiss-type machines Strong experience with STAR Swiss-type turning machines; comparable experience on Tornos DECO, Citizen, or Tsugami is also relevant Ability to independently perform setups, load existing programs, make offsets, and troubleshoot machining issues Knowledge of cutting tools, tool wear, and the adjustments needed to maintain tight tolerances Ability to read and interpret blueprints/CAD drawings and dimensional tolerances Experience inspecting finished parts and monitoring production using precision measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, ring/plug gauges) Comfort operating manual and automatic bar feeders Ability to produce first-piece, in-process, and final inspections and complete quality inspection reports while communicating nonconformances

Salary:

$30 - $40 per hour (flexibility up to $50 per hour for exceptional candidates).
