Full-Time Presented by: Mecca Talent Position Overview Mecca Talent is seeking an experienced Burn Table Operator for a heavy fabrication and manufacturing opportunity in Manitowoc, Wisconsin . This is a 2nd-shift, four-day workweek , working Monday through Thursday from 3:00 PM to 1:00 AM , with pay ranging from $23.00 to $26.00 per hour based on experience . The Burn Table Operator will be responsible for operating plasma and oxy-fuel burn table equipment to cut steel plate and components according to customer specifications, engineering requirements, and work instructions. The ideal candidate will have experience in metal fabrication or industrial manufacturing and be comfortable working independently with CNC cutting equipment, overhead cranes, and fabrication tools. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate plasma and oxy-fuel burn tables. Burn plate programs and miscellaneous parts from various materials. Verify proper orientation and placement of parts before cutting. Create and modify programs using Shape Manager . Perform oxy-fuel cutting on parts up to 2 inches thick . Use an oxy-fuel hand torch to cut and process scrap material. Bevel plate according to customer and engineering specifications. Remove slag, deburr parts, and prepare finished material for the next stage of production. Perform routine preventative maintenance on burn table equipment. Troubleshoot equipment errors and report maintenance concerns as needed. Inspect equipment and assist with minor repairs when appropriate. Safely operate overhead cranes and material-handling equipment. Inspect rigging equipment and follow proper rigging procedures. Accurately complete required production logs, job records, and time tracking. Follow applicable work instructions, blueprints, and job specifications. Support workplace safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Previous experience in metal fabrication, CNC machine operation, steel processing, or industrial manufacturing preferred. Experience operating plasma and/or oxy-fuel burn tables strongly preferred. Vocational or apprenticeship training in machining, welding, or fabrication is a plus. Ability to read and understand work instructions, measurements, and fabrication specifications. Comfortable using oxy-fuel hand torches, grinders, scrapers, pneumatic tools, tape measures, and calipers. Ability to safely operate overhead cranes and properly rig material. Forklift and crane certification preferred. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety. Ability to work independently and maintain production expectations. Dependable with a strong sense of urgency and accountability. Schedule & Compensation This position offers a consistent four-day workweek : Monday-Thursday | 3:00 PM-1:00
