Job Description

The instructor is responsible for delivering classroom/lab instruction in the carpentry trade. Duties will include planning, implementation, and evaluation of program components, services, and related activities. The instructor will work closely with the Director of Workforce & Trades Education in matters related to and for the benefit of the specific program.

Prepare and update materials and outlines.
Provide traditional lecture and project-based learning activities, including real-world scenarios, as it relates to the construction trade.
Prepare course objectives following industry standards and applicable requirements by contract.
Plan and document a program of study that meets the needs and abilities of students.
Complete accurate attendance documentation and other course related paperwork.
five or more years of direct experience in the carpentry field .
Obtain the National Center for Construction Education and Research Certification (NCCER) within two months of employment.
Ability to work daytime or evening hours
Basic computer skills.
National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) certification and teaching experience is a plus.
Third party certifications.
