Job Description

Overview We are seeking a motivated UL508A Panel Builder to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling and wiring electrical control panels in accordance with UL (Underwriters Laboratories) standards and electrical schematics. Your expertise will ensure the production of safe, reliable, and compliant electrical panels used across various industrial applications.
Key Responsibilities Assembly & Layout:
Mount components like PLCs, VFDs, relays, circuit breakers, and terminal blocks onto back panels inside enclosures.
Wiring & Termination:
Cut, strip, and execute precise point-to-point wiring, bundling, and labeling per design schematics.
Compliance & Standards:
Build panels strictly adhering to
UL 508A, NFPA
79, and NEC (NFPA 70) requirements.
Testing & Inspection:
Perform continuity checks, point-to-point checks, voltage tests, and quality verification before applying certification marks and shipping.
Collaboration:
Review bills of materials (BOMs) and redline engineering drawings to update shop/assembly changes.
Qualifications & Requirements Reading Schematics:
Strong ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical layouts.
Technical Knowledge:
Understanding of low-voltage/high-voltage industrial systems (24VDC to 575VAC) and industrial control components.
Experience:
3 - 5+ years of hands-on electrical assembly or panel shop experience.
Certification:
Formal UL 508A training or Manufacturer Technical Representative (MTP) familiarity is preferred but not required.
Tools:
Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, torque tools, and multimeters.
Pay:
$28.00 - $30.00 per hour
