Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a CNC live tool lathe and Lathe Operator and play a vital role in producing high-precision components for the defense and aerospace industries. As a key contributor to our manufacturing facility, you will fully operate, set up, and maintain our Okuma lathes- setting up and being able to run mills is a plus. Duties Operate a Okuma Y and C axis live tool machine, ensuring precise execution of complex machining programs Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications to produce accurate parts Set up tooling, perform dry runs and be able to fully operate our Okuma lathes Conduct routine inspections using precision measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers to verify part dimensions and quality standards Perform routine maintenance on the machines, including keeping them clean and operating efficiently. Maintain detailed documentation of production activities, quality checks, and machine settings for traceability and continuous improvement Skills Strong knowledge of operating live tool lathe machines, mill operating is a plus Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding GD&T for accurate manufacturing Familiarity with Okuma controls for changing offsets and running programs Basic math skills necessary for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and machine settings

Pay:

$25.00 - $32.00 per hour
