  • Responsibilities:
  • Machine Setup:
  • Set up CNC machines (DMG
MORI CTX
beta lathes, general mills, and cylindrical grinders) for production runs, ensuring all tools, fixtures, and materials are correctly installed.
  • Program Implementation:
  • Load and verify CNC programs, making necessary adjustments to ensure optimal operation and part quality.
  • Quality Control:
  • Perform first-piece inspections to confirm parts meet specifications, using precision measuring tools like calipers, micrometers, and CMMs.
  • Maintenance:
  • Conduct routine maintenance on CNC machines, including cleaning, lubrication, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate records of setups, adjustments, and maintenance activities.
  • Training:
  • Assist in training less experienced operators on machine setup and operation procedures.
  • Safety:
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment around machinery.
  • Requirements:
  • Experience:
  • A Minimum of 2-3 years in CNC machine setup and 5 years of machining with experience in a manufacturing environment are preferred.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in reading G-Code, blueprints and understanding GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or associate degree in CNC machining or related field is a plus.
  • Certifications:
  • Preference is given to candidates with NIMS (National Institute for Metalworking Skills) certifications or similar.
  • Attention to
Detail:
  • High precision work ethic with an eye for detail to ensure quality in every setup.
  • Problem Solving:
  • Ability to troubleshoot machine issues and adjust setups as needed.
  • Teamwork:
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
