Purpose of the Position §To perform various machining operations required to remanufacture or restore customer and company components to dimensional specifications and quality standards. §Help redefine the TransMachine MTT product portfolio as we transition to manufacturing our own intellectual property.
Duties:
Follow prescribed procedures where available for repair and remanufacture of customer and company products. Where an undocumented repair is required, seek input on the repair process, tooling, etc. from a supervisor or an employee with specific knowledge of historic repair processes we use. Where a unique repair is required, apply your knowledge of machining and work holding to meet the following objectives: A durable and reliable repair A repair which is as undetectable as possible A cost effective and efficient repair Double check your work to ensure accuracy and adherence to specifications. Unless directed to work on components in a specific order, identify and plan your daily projects to complete the workload in the most efficient manner. Collaborate with others to solve problems and work efficiently. Share your knowledge with others as appropriate. Maintain your work area and the equipment you use in a safe and orderly manner. Occasionally perform other shop duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Able to work cooperatively with employees and supervisors to achieve a pleasant and efficient work environment. Able to operate mills, lathes, various grinders, and other common machining tools with speed and precision commensurate with 10 years of machine shop machining experience. Able to assess appropriate work holding and machining techniques to accomplish a broad range of machining operations. Able to apply shop math to machine set up and problem-solving situations. Able to apply journeyman level machining knowledge to new situations. Willing to listen to others and learn from their experience. Able to lift 35 lbs. repeatedly on a daily basis and up to 60 lbs. occasionally. Possess a compliment common machinist tools.
Pay:
$30.00 - $40.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 50.0 per week
