Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM Position Summary We are seeking a motivated Machinist to join our machine shop team. This position will involve setting up and operating manual mills and lathes to manufacture precision machine components according to blueprint specifications. This is a great opportunity for a machinist looking to expand their skills. Team members will have the opportunity to train on and operate a Vertical Machining Center (VMC) , producing more complex components while developing their machining knowledge and technical abilities. Key Responsibilities Set up, operate, and maintain manual milling machines and lathes Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications Select appropriate machine settings, tooling, and materials Produce precision components while maintaining quality standards Inspect completed parts using precision measuring instruments Use calipers, gauges, gauge blocks, and other measuring equipment Maintain inventory of finished components and materials as needed Identify equipment maintenance needs and report concerns Assist with troubleshooting machining and equipment issues Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area Work closely with team members to meet production goals Participate in continuous improvement and training opportunities Qualifications Minimum 1 year of recent machinist experience Experience setting up and operating manual mills and/or lathes Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Experience using precision measuring equipment, including: Calipers Gauges Gauge blocks Strong mathematical skills and mechanical aptitude Knowledge of metal properties and machining processes Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Willingness to learn and train on VMC equipment Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to perform repetitive tasks as required Commitment to workplace safety and continuous learning If you're a skilled machinist looking to expand your capabilities and gain experience with VMC machining, this is a great opportunity to grow your career.
