Job Description

Job OverviewThe CNC Machinist is responsible for setting up and operating CNC machine tools to manufacture and inspect high-precision products. The role performs production machining operations according to drawings, work instructions, quality standards, and established time requirements while maintaining accurate production records.

ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate various CNC machine tools according to company procedures and production standards.

Perform repetitive production machining operations.

Read and interpret engineering drawings, sketches, and work instructions.

Inspect completed machined parts to ensure quality requirements are met.

Transmit and receive CNC programs and maintain computerized or manual production records.

Provide technical assistance and on-the-job training to other employees.

Maintain quality, productivity, and accuracy throughout the machining process.

Follow company safety, quality, and shop-floor procedures.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent required.1-3 years of manufacturing experience.

CNC machining/setup and operation experience.

Ability to read and interpret drawings, sketches, and work instructions.

Experience inspecting precision-machined parts.

Basic computer skills and ability to work with computerized production systems.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Good written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work effectively and professionally with coworkers.

Technical or vocational machining education is preferred.

Ability to stand and work on the shop floor and lift/move up to 50 lbs.
