CNC Milling Machinist

Job Description

Summary:
CNC Milling Machine Machinist responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC mills to manufacture precision metal and plastic components. Job Requirements High school diploma or equivalent 1+ years of CNC milling machine operation experience (Haas, Fanuc, Mazak, or similar) Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical documents Familiarity with G-code programming and on-machine program editing Working knowledge of machining tolerances, surface finishes, and common materials Experience using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.) Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude Preferred Skills Technical training or machining certification CAD/CAM experience (Mastercam, Fusion 360, SolidCAM, or similar) Setup experience including tooling selection, workholding, and fixture alignment Experience performing routine preventative maintenance on CNC equipment Job Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC milling machines per engineering specifications and blueprints Review drawings, schematics, and work orders to determine machine setup and tooling requirements Load raw materials, verify offsets, and monitor machining cycles to maintain part accuracy and machine efficiency Inspect in-process and finished parts using precision measuring tools; document results as required Edit and adjust programs and machine parameters to optimize cycle time, tool life, and part quality Perform routine machine maintenance; troubleshoot and resolve machining or equipment issues Coordinate with engineering and quality teams to address nonconformances and production issues Maintain workstation organization and follow applicable safety procedures and shop standards
Pay:
