CNC LATHE MACINIST
We are seeking
CNC MACHINISTS
FIRST SHIFT

Responsibilities :
CNC Machinists Summary:
Set-up and operation of CNC Lathes to perform machining operations such as turning, boring, facing, and threading.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Set-up and Run CNC Lathe machines. Ensure all components produced meet specifications by using appropriate measuring equipment, such as Micrometers, Vernier, Height Gauges, Bore Gauges, Comparators, Vision Systems, etc. Must be able to select suitable tools and cutters. Reads process sheets, blueprints and sketches of parts to determine machining to be done, dimensional specifications, set up and operating requirements. Inserts programs utilizing DNC system to load programs into control unit. Mounts work piece between centers, in chuck, or to faceplate. Observes numerical displays on control panel and compares with data on process sheet to verify dimensional adjustments, feed rates, and speeds of machining cuts. Inspects first run piece and spot check succeeding pieces for conformance specifications. Other duties may be assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities Education and/or
Experience:
Technical school; or 5 years minimum related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination or education and experience.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems using a common-sense approach. Ability to interpret and carry out a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Attention to detail and ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Decision Making:
Makes decisions reflecting knowledge of facts, technical expertise and care for employees, customers and or the work place. Evaluates potential risk. Utilizes sound judgment in critical thinking and problem solving. Able to provide rationale for decisions, through both written and verbal communication. Utilizes appropriate reference materials (employee handbook, policy and procedure manuals) to respond to situations.
