Job Description

Machinist/CNC Programmer Laser Mechanisms is the recognized world leader in the design and manufacture of laser beam delivery components and articulated arm systems. Laser Mechanisms' products are used in every type of industrial laser application including cutting, welding, drilling, scribing, surface treatment and other processes. The products are used with every type of laser, including CO2,
Nd:
YAG, Fiber Lasers and more. Our prototyping machine shop is currently looking for experienced CNC Programmer / Machinist. Duties and Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, planning sheets, job orders, and related technical data for product specifications Program, Set-Up & Operate CNC Mills/Lathe as necessary to produce the required number of conforming parts in a timely manner according to process documentation. Utilize gages for in-process inspections, such as calipers, micrometers, indicators & bore gages Maintain routine maintenance of machines and related tooling Job Requirements Firm understanding of machining center theory including X-Y-Z Axis Minimum of 5 year in CNC machining lathe and/or 5 axis mill experience. Must be able to demonstrate proficiency with G & M codes, tool offsets, speed, and feed editing Must be able to interpret blueprints in metric or inch Must have a working understanding of GD&T principles Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and accuracy within a timely matter Analytical & problem-solving skills utilizing strong Math disciplines Additional Desired Experience Firm understanding of cutting tools and tooling Experience in a prototyping environment is preferred but not required Programing experience lathe and mill using MasterCam. Knowledge of Fanuc Controls (HAAS) Experience cutting stainless steel, aluminum, and copper Basic understanding of computer programs including
