Position OverviewThis role is for a machinist who understands CNC milling, tooling, feeds and speeds, chip management, and process optimization in a high-volume production environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality precision components while maximizing efficiency, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Key ResponsibilitiesSet up, operate, and optimize CNC machining centers for high-volume precision productionRead and interpret blueprints, GD&T callouts, and manufacturing specificationsPerform in-process inspections using precision measuring instrumentsMake offsets, tooling adjustments, and minor program modifications as neededTroubleshoot machining issues and help minimize downtimeMonitor tooling performance and improve machining efficiencyAccurately document production and quality data within ERP systemsCollaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to achieve daily manufacturing goalsSupport lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiativesRequired Qualifications5+ years of CNC machining experienceStrong CNC milling setup and operation experienceAbility to read blueprints and interpret GD&TAerospace, medical device, automotive, industrial manufacturing, or other precision-machining backgroundExperience with Fanuc, Siemens, Heidenhain, or similar controlsExperience with precision measuring instruments and quality inspectionsStrong understanding of tooling, feeds/speeds, offsets, chip management, and tool life optimizationAbility to troubleshoot machining processes and improve efficiencyExperience working in a high-volume production environment
