Job Title:
CNC Machinist - Multi-Axis (2nd Shift)
Compensation:
$38.00-$41.00/hr (includes shift differential)
Location:
Charlotte, NC area

5+yrs of CNC Machining in a High-Production Manufacturing Environment, GD&T, CNC Milling set up, Precision measuring instruments, HEM (understanding of tooling, feeds, speeds, chip management, tool-life, etc etc• Relocation assistance an option for qualified candidates looking to relocatePosition OverviewThis role is ideal for a true machinist who understands CNC milling, tooling, feeds and speeds, chip management, and process optimization in a high-volume production environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality precision components while maximizing efficiency, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key ResponsibilitiesProgram, setup and operate multi-axis CNC machines (3-, 4- and 5-axis and mill-turn/multi-tasking machines) to produce parts to print and work orders.

Interpret engineering drawings and apply Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) to verify critical features and tolerances.

Set up, operate, and adjust CNC milling equipment for production runsRead and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and manufacturing drawingsPerform first-piece and in-process inspections using precision measuring equipmentMake tooling, offset, feed, and speed adjustments to maintain quality and production targetsTroubleshoot machining, tooling, and equipment issues to reduce downtimeMonitor tool life and recommend process improvementsUtilize High Efficiency Milling (HEM) principles to improve cycle times, chip control, and overall machining performanceCollaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to improve throughput and reduce scrapRequired Qualifications5+ years of CNC machining experience in a high-volume manufacturing environmentStrong CNC milling setup and operation experienceAbility to read blueprints and interpret GD&TExperience with precision measuring instruments and quality inspectionsStrong understanding of tooling, feeds/speeds, offsets, chip management, and tool life optimizationAbility to troubleshoot machining processes and improve efficiencyExperience working in a high-volume production environment
