Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Manual Machinist and play a vital role in producing high-precision components for diverse industrial applications. This hands-on position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of machining equipment, interpret detailed blueprints, and ensure the highest standards of quality and accuracy. Responsibilities Operate manual machining tools such as lathes, mills, grinders, and drilling machines to produce precision parts according to specifications. Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) to ensure accurate manufacturing processes. Use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to verify dimensions and tolerances. Set up and adjust machinery accurately using CNC programming knowledge for manual controls when applicable. Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment, ensuring safety standards are met at all times. Collaborate with engineering teams on tooling design, fixture setup, and process improvements utilizing CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software like SolidWorks or general CAD programs. Assist with assembly, welding, or other related tasks as needed to complete projects efficiently. Maintain detailed records of work performed, inspections conducted, and quality checks using precision measurement instruments. Requirements Proven experience as a Manual Machinist or similar role within a manufacturing environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read complex blueprints and technical drawings accurately. Proficiency in CNC programming and operation of CNC lathes and milling machines using Fanuc or similar controls. Skilled in the use of precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM). Familiarity with GD&T principles to ensure parts meet strict tolerances. Knowledge of electrical discharge machining (EDM), CAM programming, and plastics injection molding processes is a plus. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, forklifts, and other manufacturing machinery safely. Basic math skills essential for measurements and calculations involved in machining tasks. Mechanical aptitude combined with experience in lean manufacturing practices to optimize workflows. Pay:
$22.00 - $26.00 per hour
