Role Summary Our Greenville, SC facility is looking for a dedicated and talented Lead CNC Machinist to guide our production efforts. You will be instrumental in driving operational excellence and high-quality output by supervising our group of machinists. We are looking for an individual who combines technical expertise in precision machining with strong leadership capabilities. Core Duties Provide mentorship and direction to CNC staff to boost overall team performance and technical proficiency. Configure and run CNC equipment to guarantee that all parts align with precise quality benchmarks. Refine and streamline machining workflows to minimize material loss and increase output speed. Perform thorough evaluations of completed components to verify they satisfy all necessary quality criteria. Partner with production and engineering departments to identify and fix technical challenges during the machining process. Keep detailed documentation regarding machine upkeep and key production performance indicators. Instruct incoming personnel on proper CNC machine handling and essential safety procedures. Foster a secure workplace by enforcing and monitoring strict safety guidelines across the shop floor. Required Skills and Experience Completion of high school or GED; a formal technical certification or degree in machining is highly desirable. At least 5 years of hands-on CNC machining background, including a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory capacity. Advanced ability to analyze and utilize technical schematics, blueprints, and design specifications. Deep understanding of CNC programming syntax, specifically G-code and M-code. Strong analytical mindset to resolve complex issues with high precision. Proven capacity to function effectively within a collaborative team setting. Effective verbal and written communication abilities. Dedication to maintaining superior quality standards and a safe working environment for the entire team.
