Job Description

Machine Operator 3rd Shift $20 - $22hr Job Description Join our team as a Process Technician where you will operate the Vario bend, trim line, and slitter machines. You will inspect materials for accuracy, surface defects, and dimensional tolerances throughout each run, ensuring efficient and safe operations. This role involves machine setups, adjustments, and basic programming, as well as reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and diagrams. Additionally, you will operate a sit-down forklift to move products within the warehouse. Responsibilities Operate the Vario bend, trim line, and slitter machines. Inspect materials for accuracy, surface defects, and dimensional tolerances throughout each run. Perform machine setups, adjustments, and basic programming to ensure efficient and safe operation. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and diagrams. Operate a sit-down forklift to move products within the warehouse. Essential Skills Experience with roll former, trim line, Vario bend, and slitter operations. Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and diagrams. Skilled in setups, changeovers, and editing operations. Experience with sheet metal installation. Proficient in operating sit-down forklifts. Additional Skills & Qualifications Skilled in safely moving coils, sheets, and finished steel using forklifts, overhead cranes, or pallet jacks. Proficient with calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and gauges to verify dimensional accuracy. Understands sequencing, throughput, and efficiency requirements in high-volume steel processing. Coordinates with operators, leads, and quality techs to maintain smooth, safe production flow. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Prairie, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
