Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Mill Machinist with at least three years of hands-on experience to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate and set up CNC milling machines to produce precision metal components according to detailed blueprints and specifications. Your expertise in machining processes, measurement techniques, and machine programming will be essential to ensure high-quality output and efficient production workflows. Duties Set up, program, and operate CNC milling machines, including CNC mills and machining centers, ensuring adherence to engineering drawings and specifications. Interpret mechanical blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and technical documentation to produce accurate parts. Utilize CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software for programming CNC machines, incorporating M-code and G-code for precise control. Perform machine calibration, tooling setup, and adjustments to optimize machining processes. Conduct precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, micrometers, and other measurement tools to verify part dimensions during production. Inspect finished parts for quality compliance through CNC quality inspection techniques and measurement standards. Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols; assist in tooling changes and manual machining tasks as needed. Skills Proficiency in CNC programming languages such as G-code and M-code; experience with Fanuc controls preferred. Strong knowledge of CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software like SolidWorks and general blueprint reading skills. Experience with CAM programming for toolpath creation on CNC milling machines. Familiarity with electrical discharge machining (EDM) processes is a plus. Ability to interpret mechanical blueprints accurately and apply GD&T principles for precision manufacturing. Skilled in operating machining tools including grinders, lathes, hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments like calipers and bore gauges. Mechanical knowledge of metal machining processes including milling, manual machining, lathe work, grinding, and assembly. Understanding of lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow efficiency. Basic math skills for measurement calculations; ability to perform precise measurements using micrometers and other measurement instruments. Knowledge of tooling selection, machine setup procedures, and quality control standards in CNC machining environments.
